SC Johnson Annual Volunteering Day

SC Johnson have a proud history of volunteering. They engaged Employee Volunteering to create 10 inspiring volunteering projects across the county to run on the same day. The 175 volunteers would select a project of their choice.  Employee Volunteering were requested to organise the logistical, safety and administrative arrangement for the annual event.

Amonth the project, 30 volunteers accompanied 30 Stroke patients and their carers on a day trip to Hampton Court Palace.  Carers had a full day to themselves and the Stroke Patients developed great rapport with the volunteers. Many carers can spend an entire year without a single day to themselves.

Many volunteers stated that this project the most rewarding of any they had previously participated, whilst challenging from an interaction and emotional perspective.
