Openreach volunteering stars recognised at the Chairman’s Awards
BT Chairman Sir Mike Rake hosted his 2011 awards ceremony recently to honour those who make an outstanding personal contribution either to their local communities or in driving corporate responsibility.
Many distinguished guests attended the ceremony at which Sir Mike personally chose the winners in each category. This year Openreach is immensely proud to have provided no fewer than three of them.
Darren Delsol took part in the Employee Volunteering Community Coaching Project where he mentored two young people from his local community. Two young people who were disengaged and had little support from from their peers. They have both gone on to achieve great things since Darrens involvement and he continues to support them both to this day.
Fundraiser of the Year: Keith Sullivan, (Marketing Communications)
Volunteer of the Year: Darren Delsol (Cost Transformation)

Our photos show the winners with Sir Mike and business manager Katy McCormick, who can help with any information on volunteering.
